“What are the other ones?” She asked, her voice trembling.

“If you were an Almer, the captain might ask your opinion on strategy, on what decisions would be best for the crew. This is not a task that you will have to concern yourself with.” She nodded. “You will take stock of our inventory in every capacity: every bit of food, weapon, uniform, and other non personnel item that needs to be logged, you will make note of.” Again, she nodded. “There is one more test for your position that must be conducted, but we will focus on your first test before any further questions.”

“Okay.” She took a deep breath. “What do I need to do?”

“You are eager to start.” He said after a moment. “That energy is good. It will serve the Empire well.” He handed her a pair of translucent blue gloves that seemed to shimmer with every movement. “Wear these at all times while you are working. They will allow you to use a limited access terminal, and give you access to the archives that you have created or require for your work.” She slipped them on, surprised at how sheer they felt. It was almost as if she weren't even wearing them at all.

“How do I...?” She frowned as she stared down at her gloved hands, wiggling her fingers experimentally just to see if anything would happen.

“Your race has primitive computers.” He said. “Hold your hands out as though you are typing.” She did as she was told, gasping as a fully functional keyboard appeared in front of her hands, just within reach of her fingertips. “It will type as you need to. There is feedback for each key, so you know which one you are using.”

“Okay.” She tested out a short sentence, and nodded, pleased that she could work easily with this keyboard as she erased them to begin a fresh slate.

“I will begin to create a personnel log.” He explained. “You will chronicle everything that I say into a log for me. If it is not up to standards, you will not be kept. You will comply.” She sucked in a deep breath and braced herself.

“I'm ready.” She said, fingers hovering in anticipation for action. “First, I need your name.”

“Why is that required?” Though he asked, she could tell by his tone that he was testing her. So, her trial had already begun, it seemed. Still, she had been a secretary long enough to know what was needed and why.

“I need to document whose personnel record this is.” She answered immediately. “Otherwise, the record is incomplete, and might be lost when it could be needed later.”

“Excellent.” He smiled and nodded, pleased. The motion was so human to her that it struck her as odd to see on him. “I am Ordar.”

  “No last names?”

“Last name?” He arched a brow. Clearly, it was a concept that was as foreign to him as she was.

“That...” She swallowed thickly. “That must just be a human thing.” He nodded.

“I am warrior thirty – eight of the star ship Bituin. It is star date four seven eight seven four, and the time is zero six twenty – two.” Her fingers flew across the keyboard, and it wasn't long before she had built up a rhythm and matched the cadence of Ordar's speech. He recorded the major event of his day, where he descended unto Earth and took humans for the good of the Empire.

As he spoke, she found out that she was the eighteenth person that he had captured that day – the invasion had begun late in the twilight hours of the previous day, where they sent out soldiers like himself on covert operations to take the best soldiers, technicians, operators, and engineers of every country's military and security details to weaken the resistance against them before it could even be formed.

By the time the alarms were raised and the people that were left in charge caught wise, there was surprisingly little left to resist them; all of their best people who had the most experience were already taken, and those who tried to fill their shoes failed spectacularly. In light of what little the humans could do against the might of the Empire, the take over had been almost instant, with nearly no resistance that had left a long enough impression to even report on, even on the civilian side of things.

With the military forces of the world bowing down to the Empire and governments not offering any further resistance, knowing that it would save more people in the long run, the Almer agreed to be peaceful, on the condition that the humans spread the information of the takeover, and ordered the general population to not offer up any resistance to being evaluated for taking. News broadcasts went up that morning, issuing instructions to citizens on how to stay alive and informing the masses of this drastic change to their way of life, that as long as they didn't put up a fight, they would be spared. A broadcast that Mary hadn't seen, so busy with her morning routine she was that she had neglected to turn on the television.

By the time that Ordar had stopped speaking, she had finished up the report. He read over what was displayed on the soft blue holographic projection of everything that she had typed thus far, hovering at eye level. He nodded to himself as he silently read it, and she couldn't help but hold her breath as he neared the end of it. When he finished the last line of the report, he looked up at her, his shimmering eyes unreadable to her.

“This is acceptable.” She quietly let out the breath that she had been holding, feeling like a weight was lifted off of her chest. She got to stay out of the slave trade – sure, she was still farther away from home than she had ever imagined that she would be, but she was alive. That was what mattered. “There is one last test.”

“What do I need to do?” She asked, hands readying themselves to type again. She couldn't help the squeak of surprise that escaped her when he reached up and caught her hands, interrupting the hologram of a keyboard from displaying in front of her. She looked up again, into that galaxy that was contained in his gaze, trying to understand why he was closing in on her like a predator closes in on his prey.

“I need to test our physical compatibility.” Mary swore her stomach dropped out from under her. Her mind frantically tried to process Ordar's words, trying to come to terms with what he was implying in order to accept that this was a part of her life now, but her mind revolted against the idea.

  “W-what...?”

“Oracles note everything that goes on in a ship.” He repeated himself. “And take inventory. When those tasks are complete, an Oracle must please their guardian to keep them sated when they are not in battle.” He loomed over her. It was in that moment that it all suddenly seemed very, very real to her, and the terror she had felt before gripped her with a vengeance once again. “That is me. I need to test our physical compatibility.” He said again, his voice low and soft in spite of what he was asking of her. “You will comply.”

  Chapter 3

“You... you want...” Mary could feel her legs quivering beneath her, but even that seemed far away to her. Still, she was trying to come to grips with what was about to happen. Never had she expected this to be part of her job as a glorified secretary. Still, Ordar was advancing on her slowly, curiously, as if she were some oddity that he wanted to understand. Even though he wasn't being threatening to her in any way, she couldn't help feeling as though she were a cornered animal that was staring down the predator that would consume it.

It wasn't as though she had never had any level of sexual experience before; she had taken lovers to her bed, both casual and serious, but in every instance, she knew what she was getting in to with all of them. She sought out the interaction, chose when and how it was going to happen. Now, though, it was literally a question of whether or not she wanted to become a slave. She could either grin and bear it, however many times it took, until she was guaranteed a position on the ship, or she could fail, and be sent to work until she died from it.

She wasn't sure which was worse at the moment.

“How do we...?” She began to ask, only to leave the question hanging. Ordar regarded her with strangely soft eyes.

“You have never laid with an Almer before. That is to be expected. That is alright.” He reached out a hand to her, palm extended upward as if i
nviting her. “I will guide you.” She hesitated for only the span of a heartbeat before putting her much smaller hand in his palm. It felt cool against her skin, but not so cold that it hurt. She allowed him to guide her to the bed that she was granted in her quarters.

Ordar sat on the bed first, still holding her hand. When he sat on the mattress and she stood, they could look the other in the eye. Seeing him at her level was weirdly unnerving and all and once grounding for Mary as she stared into his gem – like eyes. Even in the dim lighting of the room, they held a soft light of their own to them, and she could see the little lights amidst their glow swirling like stars in a night sky.

“This is will not be bad for you,” he said to her like a promise. “Oracles are treated delicately, and are held in high regard. You will not be harmed in any way.” She swallowed and nodded, feeling a little more sure of herself in the face of such odd circumstances.

“Show me how to do this, Ordar.” She said, her voice a mere whisper. “Tell me how to please you.” He nodded only once, but he looked almost relieved that she complied so easily.

“Your clothes are in the way.” He said simply. “Start there.”

“What about you?” She couldn't help but ask. He chuckled softly.

“It is handled,” he answered, pressing a button on his wrist, where he held some type of personal computer. His armor and weapon seemingly removed itself, piece by piece, disappearing in a shimmering light until he was laid bare. What surprised her the most was that the helmet that he had been wearing had hidden a full head of what almost looked like hair, though looked more like tentacles that had been held back into a low ponytail. Like his eyes, they faintly glowed a soft purple – not enough to change the lighting in the room, but enough that her attention was drawn to it.

The process of his armor disappearing only took a few seconds, but they dazzled her into stillness, forgetting for a moment that she had to undress herself as well. She hadn't realized that she had forgotten until he let out another throaty chuckle.

Already flushed with embarrassment, she gripped the hem of her pencil skirt, shimmying out of it in a way that she hoped was at least a little alluring to him. She stepped out of her flats along with her skirt, gulping audibly when he watched the way that her hips moved as she slid her underwear down her legs and stepped out of those as well. With only a scant few pieces of clothing remaining, her fingers trembled as they worked to open each of her buttons on her blouse.

He reached for her before she had the chance to finish unbuttoning her shirt, gently taking hold of her arm and bringing her between his legs from where he was perched on the bed. Wordlessly, his hands took over for the last few buttons that were left holding her shirt closed over her chest. Despite how large his hands were, he was surprisingly dextrous, and he soon got the hang of it after the first try.

He pressed a kiss to her chest with every button undone, the surprisingly tender gesture soft and cool on her skin. She gasped, arching into his touch as he finished opening the shirt the rest of the way. He enjoyed himself for a few minutes by simply pressing open mouthed kisses to the exposed area of her breasts, just above her bra. His fingers, slowly warming from her touch, crept along her ribcage to where her bra hooks rested on her back, deftly working them off of her.

She shivered when she felt his teeth graze her neck, his tongue running along the place where he had just lightly nipped at. She felt herself quivering under his touch for a reason that was so far removed from fear that she felt a little dizzy from the shift in the emotions that welled inside of her. Caught up in the distraction provided by the sensations she was experiencing, she almost didn't realize that Ordar had divested her of the last of her clothing until she felt his massive palm cupping her breast.

She trembled under his touch as he brought his mouth back down to her breasts, his cool, smooth lips wrapping around the nipple of the neglected breast. She clenched and unclenched her hands at her sides, not knowing what was expected of her in this instance. He must have sensed her internal struggle in some capacity, because he pulled his mouth away from her nipple with a soft pop and looked up at her.

“It is alright for you to touch me.” He said, eyes glinting mischievously. “It is expected of you.”

“How...” she swallowed when she felt his other hand slide down her narrow waist and cup the ample swell of her hip. “How should I touch you?”

“You have had lovers in the past, correct?” She nodded dumbly. “Then behave as if this is no different. I will correct you where it is needed.” She squeaked when he scooped her up and turned to lay her on the bed. He hovered over her, his hand returning to its spot on her breast, kneading the flesh softly. “You do not need to be perfect. You only have to be willing.” She nodded, feeling herself go lax under his touch.

Even as she stroked her hands along his broad chest, feeling the texture of his skin as he lavished attention on her, she marveled at how soft he was being with her, despite how much he felt like he was carved out of marble. It was a stark contrast, a sensation that only stood out to her more now that she felt how downy soft the mattress beneath her was.

He waited until she was properly situated in the bed and she looked comfortable before he continued to kiss and lightly bite his way down her neck, lightly stroking her collarbone with his teeth. She shivered involuntarily as he continued to lavish attention to her skin, working his way down her body to tease her with his tongue and teeth. She couldn't help but squirm against his ministrations, unused to someone traveling that far down her body; her sex life, while certainly healthy, was woefully pedestrian.

“Ordar...” She whispered, strangely feeling herself already working toward orgasm even though he hadn't truly done anything to her. Had it been that long since she'd felt a tender touch like this?

“This will make things easier. And it has always pleased me to pleasure my Oracle.” He said, eyes twinkling. “If it is too much, tell me and I will stop.” She nodded, showing him that she was ready. She jumped a bit when she felt his fingers, long and thick and chilled, pressing gently against her folds. Still, she forced herself to relax, letting her clenched wall muscles soften as he eased a finger inside of her.

She arched her back when she felt his cool tongue lightly stroke her insides, his finger slowly pumping her to coax her into getting ready for him. If she had felt like she was starting to let her orgasm build before, she could no longer deny the coil in her belly beginning to tighten. She felt the muscles in her legs quake with the effort it took her not to thrash them as her thoughts grew hazy from pleasure.

“Please... Ordar...” Mary couldn't hold back the whimper that escaped her as his tongue swirled around her clit. Her hands raked through his hair, surprised at its warm and smooth texture – her earlier comparison to tentacles felt a little more appropriate now that she felt the way that they slid against her fingertips. She could feel herself already coming undone under his dedicated, precise movements. He hummed, pleased with what she was doing, and the reverberations rattled her to her very core. "Ordar, god, yes.” She cried out hoarsely, her voice never raising in volume but in pitch until all she could do was pant.

"It would seem that you are close to climaxing,” he observed quietly. “That is good.” He pushed in a second finger curling them and moving in and out, so slow and deliberate that it made her head spin. He moved back up to hover over her, draping his heavy, thick form over her. He continued to work his fingers inside of her, replacing his tongue on her clit with the pad of his thumb and gently rolling it in a circle around the sensitive nub. “Say my name as you climax. You will comply.”

He pushed his thumb more insistently against her clit, rolling the bundle of nerves in just the right way that had her back arched to the point that it was lifted off of the mattress. The coil in her gut snapped, and she felt herself tumble off the cliff into the abyss of pleasure. Her orgasm hit her in waves, a new sensation to her, and she rolled her hips in time with the tide of ecstasy t
hat ebbed and flowed through her nerves. She felt his name spill from her lips again and again as she came, gradually dying down into whimpers and mewls of pleasure as she basked in the afterglow.

“You are lovely,” Ordar purred, his rich tone washing over her and rattling in her chest. “If you are ready to continue, I would have my fill of you now.” He pulled his fingers out of her, slipping them in his mouth one at a time and licking them clean. She swallowed thickly as she watched him lick them clean.

“Y-yes,” she stammered as he returned his hand to support himself by her head. He hummed low in his throat as she felt what she assumed was his species' version of an erection gently pressing against her outer labia. Like the rest of him, it felt cool against her pulsing core, and all she wanted was to find out how it felt inside her.
